Below are music programs that Cosby and Tom perform for a variety of locations,
including libraries, historic sites, museums, festivals and events. Have a look and see if
they might fit into your projects. References and show histories available.

~ NEW FOR 2019
~ Adirondack Lumber Camp Songs
This program features the historic songs of lumberjacks in the 1800's logging camps of
the Adirondack Mountains. Also includes interesting narrative about this charming
(and tough!) work era in upstate New York. About one hour, age eight to adult.
This is a new program, being launched this year, 2019.

~ Erie Canal Historic Songs
With eight historic songs from the Canal construction, spoken passages of history and
interesting anecdotes. Performed with guitar, voice, and fiddle. The program is 45
minutes in length, and is appropriate for adults, families, and children above age ten.

~ Songwriters in the Round: Original Songs by Two Songwriters
Cosby Gibson and Tom Staudle perform original, acoustic, and independent folk songs
in a round-robin style. Narrative and anecdotes about songwriting and the creative
process. About 90 minutes, and best for adults and teenagers.

~ Poetry Songs and History Songs
Words of famous poets put to original music by Tom Staudle (poets are Robert Frost,
Edgar Allen Poe, Rudyard Kipling, Andy Rooney, a local poet, and more). History Song
series portrays the life of the American Settlers during the Revolution through original
songs by Cosby Gibson. Includes discussion of each topic. About 1 hour and 15 minutes,
best for adults and teenagers.

~ Songwriting Workshop for Groups
Hands-on songwriting workshop. Original song sample performances, and discussion of
various techniques for writing songs. A group song is written after learning concepts.
From one to two hours, ages 8 to adult.

~ Twelve Best Folk Songwriters Ever
Songs of favorite American folk artists such as Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell,
Woody Guthrie, Joan Baez, James Taylor, Johnny Cash, Simon and Garfunkel, Phil
Ochs, Judy Collins, Carter Family, Peter, Paul and Mary. Narrative and anecdotes about
the artists and the evolution of folk music from mountain life, political messages, and
today. ASCAP license needed. About one hour, all ages.
